The Verti Apex Wall Mounted Cycle Stand holds the front wheel firmly and bicycles are designed to carry the weight of the rider and absorb the impact of riding over bumpy roads so the weight of the frame alone will not cause any damage to the wheels or frame.
Careful operation of the bike rack is advised though!
We only recommend fixing The Verti Apex Wall Mounted Cycle Stand to plaster board if it is secured to metal studwork.
If you locate the metal studs, you can fix the brackets or cycle racks to these. The studs will accommodate much more weight and make it more secure for your wall.
You can also support your plaster board with timber battens.
